We are a volunteer-run student group focused on helping you learn how to fix and maintain your bike. We don’t charge for labor, only parts. We only accept cash; please come prepared.

Also please note that we can't help with electric scooter repairs, nor with electric bike repairs that involve electric components. Volunteers will work up to what they are comfortable with and may or may not be able to assist on specific services.

  • Monday shop hours will be more practice for the DeCal course. Come only if you want to work on your bike for a short period of time. Morning hours on Friday will be determined on a week by week basis, check the website during the week before coming Friday.
  • We do not accept requests for repairs 30 minutes before closing time. For example, if shop closes at 7pm, come before 6:30pm.
  • Sign up for our famous DeCal course Bicycle Maintenance and Repair! This is a 1 unit P/NP course designed to cover the basics of bike repair, ownership, and safety in Berkeley. There will be 2 sections offered this semester, currrently scheduled for Monday 5-7 or Tuesday 6-8pm. We will start week around week 3, the classes links are below View our DeCal syllabus here.
  • This course fills up quickly. If you don't show up to the first day of class (see dates below), we'll assume that you're no longer interested and we will drop you from the course. If you can't make the first lecture, please reach out by email (at the bottom of this page). Auditors are welcome.
  • CIVENG 98 011 - GRP 011 (Mondays 5-7pm, first day Feb 2)
  • CIVENG 98 010 - GRP 010 (Tuesday 6-8pm, first day Feb 3)

We are located literally underneath GBC (Golden Bear Cafe). Take a shovel and start from the middle cashier box in GBC and start digging downwards, you’ll find us.
